"The Jon Renau team has encouraged me to persevere and remain adaptive" - Chanelle Simpson has been working for Jon Renau since February 2020 and has taken the time to tell us a bit about herself.

In 2012, I decided to follow my childhood ambition of becoming an integral part of the beauty industry and began my career behind the chair. As a hairstylist, I became a business owner, published stylist, as well as on-set stylist for runway shows.

When the opportunity to join the Jon Renau team came along, I jumped at the chance. I was excited to elevate my professional knowledge and become an expert in the alternative hair industry.

I joined the Jon Renau Education Department in early 2020 and I look forward to learning more about this evolving and passionate industry. 

What is your personal motto?

“Never stop learning because life never stops teaching” is my go-to personal quote. I strive to always keep an open mind to the lessons that life brings. By remaining open to all of the education and lessons in life, I realized those experiences could open my eyes to a whole different beauty, perspective, and open the path to the person I am destined to be.

Tell us about your Jon Renau journey.

I joined the JR Education department in February 2020, two weeks before the pandemic hit, so needless to say it has been an interesting journey to this point. The Jon Renau team has encouraged me to persevere and remain adaptive through COVID's trying times, and this has blown me away.

My favorite part about working for Jon Renau is the unity and kindness which exudes from our team; we are like family. My passion and goal here at Jon Renau is to elevate the education department to a level of success that will inspire our clients infinitely.

Proudest moment at Jon Renau?

My proudest moment here at Jon Renau would have to be seeing the lightbulb go off when educating our clients and internal team through our CORE programs. I want to be of support wherever is needed in the alternative hair industry in a life-changing way.

Our clients and end consumers inspire me daily and are the inspiration that motivates me to provide valuable education to make their lives enlightened. Another reason I am proud to be at Jon Renau is that I have the opportunity to take part in a company that serves a greater purpose; a company that inspires others and also builds confidence through alternative hair.
