Gayle, the owner of Gayla Wigs knows about hair loss firsthand. Suffering from male pattern baldness herself, she understands how it can impact women. She had been wearing wigs for almost a decade but today she loves wearing her Top Form in color 12FS8.

Tell us a little about yourself

My name is Gayle Stan–Bucher, and I am owner and founder of Gayla Wigs.

Personally, I know how hair loss affects more than just your self-esteem; it impacts your very soul! My goal has been to help restore my clients’ dignity with beauty, concern, and compassion. After all, I was my own first client.

Suffering from male pattern baldness, I had been wearing wigs for almost a decade. I tried to find suitable solutions in the form of wigs, and was stunned no salon or wig shop offered a private consultation service to explore all my options. At the time I had worked for a medical prosthesis company. My patients and customers also suffered from hair loss, admired my hair and complemented my hairstyles. They were looking for confidentiality and desired natural flattering styles that were comfortable to wear all day.

Helping these women became my passion and I strived to learn all I could. I registered to take an advanced training program for wigs. I learned about different hair fibers, color blends, and techniques in cutting and re-adjusting wigs to fit patients properly. During this time I realized my mission was to combine this advanced information with the ability to deliver a confidential and dignified approach to providing beautiful hair replacement solutions. This was the beginning of Gayla Wigs!

I am blessed to be able to help women suffering with all varieties of hair loss. I feel it’s my calling! Gayla Wigs is a beautiful salon with a serene spa like atmosphere. We carry products and wigs serviced by knowledgeable and caring licensed cosmetologists. Gayla Wigs is a place where our clients are ensured of professionalism and privacy.

I have found satisfaction helping women find an answer and see their self-confidence restored. I have watched tears turned into broad smiles as they looked at themselves in the mirror. These are moments I will treasure forever.

How long have you been wearing wigs and Jon Renau for?

I have been wearing wigs from numerous companies for 15 years but have found the most satisfaction in wearing Jon Renau toppers. My favorite is the Top Form – Color 12FS8 (see photo) The Top Form has vibrant thick hair, and quality cap construction. It gives me the look that I have always wanted.

What advice would you give to a new wig wearer?

When a new client is making their first purchase, my first goal is to build the clients confidence. I reassure them it will look beautiful and natural once it is fitted. We discuss the various cap styles and I encourage them to try on several different styles so they can get a feel for their own personal style and comfort level. I also suggest they walk around in the wig and see it in both indoor and natural lighting.

I recommend that my customers purchase two wigs, that way one is always ready to go.
