EA Spotlight - Jo

Jun 22nd 2022

The Jon Renau Education Ambassador Program is an ongoing collaboration between the Jon Renau family and some of the most relevant and inspirational voices in the hair loss community. This program was born from a desire to empower those who experience hair loss, create awareness in the media, and provide a source for reliable and accurate information about alternative hair. By bridging the education gap and shedding light on all the hair loss solutions available today, those with hair loss can gain a better experience with alternative hair.

Throughout the year, we will feature each of our beautiful Education Ambassadors, one-by-one, in the hopes that their anecdotes and insights will empower those who experience hair loss.

Now, let’s meet Education Ambassador, Jo Tucker.

Tell us a bit about yourself...

I’m 42, I live in the South West of England with my 3 daughters and dog called Fred. I’m a buyer in my day job, and talking about hair loss in my spare time!

How long have you been wearing wigs or hairpieces?

My hair fell out 4 years ago, due to alopecia universalis. I started wearing wigs immediately.

When you started your hair loss journey, what do you wish you knew?

What is the best part about being an education ambassador?

I have loved learning how to look after wigs correctly, helping me to keep a collection that has two-year-old synthetics in. I love sharing the information with others as well.

What’s one thing you’ve learned about yourself while being an education ambassador?

I’ve almost gained confidence, as I lost hair. Which seems a strange thing to happen.

What advice would you give to a new alternative hair wearer?

Which Jon Renau style is your favourite?

I love Rachel and Sarah.
