When Is It Time for a Topper?
Signs You’re Ready:
- Thinning at the part or crown
- Extensions aren’t adding coverage where you need it
- You want volume without committing to a full wig
- Your scalp is more visible in certain lighting
- You have fine hair and want a fuller look

- Place the front clip about 1–2" behind your natural hairline
- Hold the base flat and taut as you secure the clips, starting with the front clip, then back, and finishing with the two side clips
- Brush & blend your front pieces and the rest of your biological hair into the topper!

Proper care helps preserve the softness of the Remy human hair and maintain the integrity of the lightweight base.
- Detangle Before Washing Gently detangle using the Jon Renau Paddle Brush or Wide Tooth Comb, starting at the ends and working upward. Hold the base while brushing to avoid unnecessary tension.
- Wash Every 6–8 Wears Cleanse with Jon Renau Argan Smooth Luxury Shampoo using lukewarm water. Gently smooth the shampoo through the hair without rubbing or twisting.
- Condition for Softness Apply Jon Renau Argan Smooth Luxury Conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends, avoiding the base. Rinse thoroughly and gently blot excess water with a towel.
- Protect Before Heat Styling Always mist the hair with Jon Renau Heat Protectant Spray before using hot tools. Style using the lowest effective temperature to help maintain the quality of the Remy human hair.
- Refresh Between Washes Refresh your topper between washes with Jon Renau Texturizing Dry Shampoo to absorb excess oils from the surrounding natural hair, add texture, and revive the style. Finish with Lightweight Finishing Hairspray for flexible, touchable hold.
- Store with Care To help maintain its shape, store your topper on a topper stand, in a satin bag, or lay it flat when not in use. Handle the lightweight base gently, especially when wet, to help extend its lifespan.
