HighDefLace is crafted with finer materials that create an exceptionally soft and transparent finish. Due to the lace being more delicate, gentle handling and attentive care are essential.   

Pssst... High DefLace is much more delicate than welded lace!  

Key Handling Differences (vs. SmartLace) 

• Treat more delicately than SmartLace, think “soft touch” at all times 
• Longevity of HighDefLace is 5-8+ months with proper care compared to 6-9+ for SmartLace synthetic and Heat-Friendly styles; 9-12+ months for SmartLace Human Hair 

 

Washing & Cleansing 

• Use gentle massaging motions, do not scrub 
• Focus on light, downward strokes rather than friction 
• Support the lace with your hand when cleansing to prevent stress 
• Avoid stretching, pulling or tugging on the lace 

 

Drying & Placement on Wig Stand 

• Place the wig gently on the stand, don't stretch over the stand head 
• Use a smaller or collapsible stand if possible to avoid tension 
• Smooth lace into place, do not pull it taut while drying 
• Allow to air dry naturally; avoid hanging by the lace  

 

Daily Handling Best Practices 

• Be mindful when brushing near the lace front or when styling, adjusting, or securing the wig
• Avoid pulling, tugging, or overstretching the lace 
• Avoid aggressive pinning, clipping, or repeated repositioning in the same area 
• Overstretching can create waves, looseness, or distortion in the lace
